For the last month I've kept my mouth shut about all these petty arguments
and silly name calling. I've ignored the fact that the EXEList has had
more postings *unrelated* to EXE compression/decompression than I've ever
seen. I've watched my mailbox fill up with lots of wasted bandwith. Still
- I've stayed silent so as not to take even *more* unwanted time, energy,
cpu cycles & bandwidth with my comments.
First off, I'm going to assume that you (Brooke) are so new to this list
that you were unaware it was specifically regarding runtime encryption,
compression and it's related subjects. Which is fine. I won't answer your
question, but I know for a fact there are thousands upon thousands of
people who know all about Linux and it's various flavors. I'd suggest
starting with one of the (litterally) *hundreds* of newgroups or websites
on the subject. There are more HOWTO's on Linux than any operating system
I know of. Too suggest no one knows shit about the most talked about OS in
the 90s seems like you've not spent too much time looking for an answer.
So, more pointedly - this is not a Linux mailing list.
I've not been a big part of the scene for the last 9-12 months and I know
it. I've only been able to update SD whenever I got 5 free minutes. Maybe
I don't have any right to be posting this, but I'm not going to tell anyone
how to live their life or how to post to the EXElist. However, if things
don't change I'm outta here - as well as a few others I'm sure. Not that
it makes a difference, I know. :)
Okay, I'm done. Sorry for the rant. But Linux scripts? I just couldn't
take it anymore.
Peace,
David
