[exelist] Discussion on DOS executable protection systems
I dont think Stonehead is right in all points:
Stopping to write DOS executable protectors due to the reason that
protectors can always be unpacked by unpacker coders or future auto
unpackers would mean to stop executable protection for all formats because
also PE/LX/NE/LZ..... protectors can be unpacked by single specific or
future generic unpackers. Its just a matter of compatibility.
For example, I rather use PROTECT 6.0 to protect my program (or UPX for PE)
than to leave them 100% unencrypted - this is were the only lamer idea comes
in.
Greetings to all protector/unpacker writers, Chris
