Hello All. And HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
1. Pardon me for not be able to personally reply most of the emails
about StopCopy and/or FDA. I've been sooo busy lately, and rarely
checked my email. As you can see, I have nothing to do with
StopCopy, CopyControl and so on. So please stop bugging me for those
software and/or copier. The only thing I can help is telling you to
search Google for a working copy of FDA. For those who asked, here
it is: FDA stands for 'Floppy Disk Analyzer' (or Analyser). As a
precaution, some modern FDC Controllers can't handle the head
alignment properly. You have to use a slower machine (e.g a P133-
200), or to try some workarounds like AT-SLOW.COM etc. Otherwise go
get an ISA IO Card. Today Pentium4 boards which includes ISA
expansion slots (yes, ISA, not a typo) are already out. Try one with
Intel 845G chipset, 533 FSB @ http://www.ibase-i.com.tw/mb800.htm.
2. Does anybody made analysis on Obsidium (www.obsidium.de) and
Thinstall (www.thinstall.com) ? From my observation, they shared
quite some similarities (apLib?). Correct me if I'm wrong. So far I
wasn't able to properly use ImpRec to rebuild dumped files packed by
both of those. Perhaps somebody does have same interest as mine, or
have a clue about what I'm talking about. The guinea pigs was
edonkey and overnet (http://www.overnet.com).
