It looks like my first sent email didn't arrive the mailing list.. so

it is again.
The many requests which arrived the last time made me release TRAP
another
time - after telling around that I finished with the EXE/COM image
encryption
more and more guys asked me for a Nonpublic version of TRAP.
After realizing that it is easier to make a last version public, than to
send it around like wild, I forced myself even harder to improve TRAP
and
to release it this day.
The result is packed into the "TRAP121.ZIP" archiv. TRAP is now the only
protector which is able to hold Elicz great EDUMP 1.0 back, the images
are
CRC checked, the image is mutated and the new Entrypoint Emulation
simply
kicks ass.
Furthermore does TRAP not include lame things like 'TRAP (C)...
Registered to..'
strings in protected files, which can be found in HS,CS...
The new additions, improvements are this time :
- Lame INT21 calls removed/replaced.
- More internal security, no kind of breakpoints
allowed.
- Even more Anti Iceunp code added.
- Anti TR 2.02 - 2.05 added.
- Improved entrypoint emulation added.
- Internal clean-up done.
- More compatibilty added. (AMD K6, 350 Mhz + Win98)
- Began to write automatic error correcting system.
- EXE image encryption added (3 mutated layers)
- COM image encryption added (3 mutated layers)
- Skipped over relocation handler.
- Image CRC check added.
- /C switch removed and determination to kernel code
added
- Anti EDump 1.0 code added.
And yes, ... I saw this shit happening to the mailing list, guys who
used
it as 'blaming list' by changing their back-email-adress and names into
names of others or inventions.. Daniel Arndt aka Daniel Schwarz and such
things. Anyway, let's forget about it.
Something else: I *REALLY* don't want to see any lame fake-releases like
LuCe's UNTRAP 1.19 and 1.20 anymore.
These two 'unpackers' simply do nothing :
UNTRAP 1.19 : Crashs during 'unpacking' of TRAPped files.
UNTRAP 1.20 : Simply displays 'File not TRAPped' on every TRAPped file.
People from IRC tested the two 'UNTRAPs' either and had the same
results..
But there are still people telling around how lame TRAP would be because
of the two UNTRAP's... Funny, isn't?
And yes a third time, I do know that it's about time to change to PE,
even if Windows sucks heavily, but, PE executables are getting more and
more
important. Anyway, the many requests showed me that DOS is everything
else
than dead!
