Yes, because of the many request I got the last time - they all wanted
to now about a new version of
TRAP, and thought about because I still worked on it the last time, so
why sending it to every single
person if I could make it public.
There were nice new things like full EXE/COM encryption + CRC checking
added, so that you need
not crypt your files before TRAPping now!
Then, new compatibilty and new security was added.
Furthermore, TRAP 1.21 is the only protector which can´t be dumped by
Elicz nice EDUMP 1.0 !
The improvements this time are :
- Lame INT21 calls removed/replaced.
- More internal security, no kind of breakpoints
allowed.
- Even more Anti Iceunp code added.
- Anti TR 2.02 - 2.05 added.
- Improved entrypoint emulation added.
- Internal clean-up done.
- More compatibilty added. (AMD K6, 350 Mhz + Win98)
- Began to write automatic error correcting system.
- EXE image encryption added (3 mutated layers)
- COM image encryption added (3 mutated layers)
- Skipped over relocation handler.
- Image CRC check added.
- /C switch removed and determination to kernel code
added
- Anti EDump 1.0 code added.
And yes, I saw the guy using the mailing list as "blaming list" - using
other email adresses and other
names simply sucks... Daniel Schwarz aka Daniel Arndt and such things...
However, let´s forget about
it.
And yes again. :) DOS is sayd to be dead by some guys, but the requests
told me that isn´t 100% true.
But, there are really still many DOS executables around, which means
protectors for DOS are still
important.
Anyway, I´ll also change to PE more or less in the next time, I think
it´s time to beat TRW. :)
See you all one time... Yours, Christoph Gabler
PS: Hope you enjoy the new version.
